Walking the Walk
Along with Subaru, protecting the planet we all call home is a top priority for Subaru Gear. We are continuously making a conscious effort to engage in smart environmental practices - focusing on earth-centric products, working to reduce waste and carbon emissions, and minimizing our overall footprint.
100% Renewable Energy at Decoration & Fulfillment Center
Subaru Gear is decorated adjacent to the distribution center to eliminate secondary transit and associated fuel use.
Corrugate is auctioned off to recyclers and non-recyclable waste, roughly 6 tons per month, is sent to energy facilities to be incinerated for power generation.
The Subaru logo is only applied with water-soluble inks and sustainable processes.
Will these positive changes come at a cost to me?
No, this will not cost anything for our customers. It’s simply just another great thing about shopping on SubaruGear.com. Like Subaru, we will continue to be creative in our ways to engage in smart environmental practices, protecting Earth’s natural wonders - simply because it’s the right thing to do.

Turning Wasteful Into Useful Items
Subaru Gear partners with Subaru retailers nationwide and Eco Brands Group to collect and up-cycle used sales banners, billboard materials, and cloth banners to turn them into Subaru Gear. In 2019, a partnership with Terracycle resulted in products made from recycled, plastic snack wrappers.
Subaru Gear is shipped from a zero-waste-to-landfill facility.
What does it mean to be a zero-waste-to-landfill facility? Throughout the years, due to the large size of our facilities, tons of trash was being sent to a landfill. Becoming a zero-waste-to-landfill facility took systematic change in all areas of the facility and business to reach this lofty, yet necessary goal. Research was conducted, feelers were put out to recyclers, and personnel trash cans were removed. That was just the start of this huge initiative that we’ve undertaken for the betterment of our planet.
